Can anyone recommend a good software program which will help me manage the processes in windows xp? When I do Ctrl + Alt + Del there are around 60 processes going on eating valuable memory and cpu function.

Some of them are running without my knowledge since I installed other software such as itunes helper, ipod helper, photoshop elements, aol software ect.

    Thanks!

Stopping any services you don't need will improve your computer's performance.

Well that seems logical, but that is the whole point of having software so I don't have to.
I did not know these processes were running. I need "Adobe Photoshop" but do not need "PhotoshopElementsDeviceConnect.exe" running silently in the processes every second the computer is on (And no there is nothing in the task bar which I can close.)
