Managing newly registered domains

What's the best thing to do with domains that I have registered and plan to develop, but probably not for several months? Should I just park them at the registry or is there a better alternative? (Preferably something that would take no more than a few hours to set up.)

You can make quick informative one page websites... lol... I wouldn't visit them but you can do that!

Or... you can start developing parts of each of them and slowly change them over time... If you park the domains and plan on developing them in 'several months'... you'll probably end up not developing them and losing them over time... or they'll continue to be homeless parked forrrrrrreeeeevvvvvvvveeerrrrrrrrrr... Myspace is about to go public with their new app to allow myspace users to upload their profile onto their own hosting and website... you can save a domain for that... it'll probably be easier to use a myspace editor if you don't like taking time coding... a few hours should get you somewhere... try an hour a day or even 30 minutes... eventually it'll get somewhere... all I know is that parked pages are usually always lame.. The other social networks are comming out with that app so whichever one you might have... ... ^_^

Its your website, you should take full control of it..

I'd recommend GoDaddy.com for hosting... migrate there... their business model makes it so much more worth it... ease of access... ease of deployment and an ACTUAL customer service representative that knows what they're doing! 0_o

    What are your domain names?

I would park the names with some adsense on them. Start building traffic for your intended content. use this free script, QuickMinisite.com. You may not make a lot, but at least it will start to draw traffic to your future web site. Pick search words that relate to what you eventually want to do with the domain name. I have a few sites up with the quickminisite and it works very well. and bringing in traffic and bit of income.

But like they say, your mileage may vary.

You may park them at Namedrive or Sedo - these are the parking programs where beginners can earn some cash if the names get any traffic. Here is also a NameDrive review and a Sedo review.
But if you assume that the domain names won't get any traffic until you develop them then most probably you don't need to do anything with them meanwhile.

Why would you park them at the registry? Unless they give you the parking revenue???

I'd definately park any domains that you have sitting around. Maybe try Sedo or Namedrive if you're just starting out.
