I hope I have posted this in the right section and I hope I can illustrate what I am looking for, so here goes.

I am looking to build a section of my website to provide resources for my customers to learn how to promote the websites they purchase from me. I am making a section on different aspects of Internet marketing; article marketing, email marketing, etc. But, I have also decided to setup a blog.

So, here are my questions, with that said :

    1. If I write a post in my blog with some tips to give to readers/customers, should I also post that in the Resource section mentioned above or should I just put links in my website to it?

    2. If I write a post in a blog and then later find more information about a topic, is it best to add to the post or create a new post?

    3. Should I not even use a blog and just concentrate on the Resource section of the website?

I am asking these questions from the perspective of making it simple for readers and customers and also SEO

You can either link to the blog from the resource section or use some code to show your latest blog posts, for example you can show links back to you last 5 posts.

Create a new post and link back to the old. Sometimes it can be hard to remember what posts you have actually made so I would advise keeping a spread sheet of all your posts. Record information such as date of post, url and post title.

If you can afford the time then I would say yes go with a blog also, its a great way to bring more traffic and bounch the visitors to your actual site.

Why not link the blog and the resource section to each other? :)

You can blog ABOUT longer articles in the resource section too.

If you look at the blog as a way to engage your customers in an ongoing dialogue with your company, you'll do well. So create content for your blog that customers will like to subscribe to, and keep coming back for. Not everything will fit in with the blog's tone, which can go in your resource section.
