Managing a server tutorials and resources?

    I'm going to be going the dedicated server path soon and I really want to learn to manage my own servers. I will probably be going with ThePlanet.

    Wondering if anyone has a good collection of guides that covers everything for managing servers cause I have 0% experience with it.

    http://www.dedicated-resources.com/ may be an alright source. However it's aging now so I'm not sure how much will still apply. A lot of it's tips now may very well be implemented by default by most of the OS vendors.
