So I've been Promoting Clickbank products for about a year now. I started out with PPC and that worked out okay, but then Google decided they hated my landing page and my bid price went form .30 cents to everything disabled over night, so that killed things off slowly. I was only breaking even or making a little bit of a profit anyway, and I was spending $100 - $200 a day. So I keep only a fraction of my PPC going, spending about $10 a day with super low CTR, I'm unable to scale the way I'm doing it, but it makes 1-2 sales a day. And now I'm promoting with mostly SEO. I have around 30 websites I just slapped banners on and I just hoped someone would buy. I'm currently getting around 700 hops per day from my sites. With only a few sales from that. Two days ago it was the first day in probably 6 months I made Zero sales. I was pretty pissed of course, but I also sell my own eBook as well which makes me about $200 a day pretty easy and I promote other affiliate programs that make good money as well. So it wasn't a huge loss, but come on Zero Sales! I did a little reading and something clicked... I have a landing page for the products I promote. But I only promote that with my PPC, which are only around 50 clicks a day. I haven't promoted my landing pages at all with my SEO sites. They were just direct linking... Do you know what I did? So Easy... I simply redirected all my 700 hops a day I get from my SEO sites and sent them to my Landing page... OMG... SO easy, why haven't I thought of this before? No need to change banners, they are the same banners. But instead I send everyone to my landing page, awesome landing page by the way and guess what? Awesome sales today! Two-Hundred plus in sales with just this simple change. From Zero sales yesterday to Two Hundred the next. Not only did it open my eyes to what I'm doing wrong, but it opened up a new way I will start promoting everything else I'm doing. It's only been one day though; I did the change yesterday around noon, so it's only been changed for around 12 hours. Let's see what a full day brings before I celebrate too much. Obvious yes, a noob mistake maybe... apparently I'm either retarded or I just figured it out. Good times, Kingbrend
I love these revelations. They are so simple, yet they hide from us for such a long time. Congratulations on those sales! Keep them coming. nadavs
Well done man, your banner related product and the product u promote with landing page must be similar.
WTG!! I dont think your retarded I just think it was time... We all get these revelations in our lives and, well today it was your turn
Yup. Landing pages are what it's all about. I don't think it's ever a good idea to send people directly to the vendor's page - pre-sell well and your conversions will increase. Congrats!
I myself have had the same revelation last week as I've mentioned in another thread. The result...a lot more sales!
A 100% behind you on that statement and the reason I've taken your post as a quote is that I certainly couldn't have said it better. I'm currently building another landing page to compliment my main website, but I'm struggling with a worthy format at the moment. Kind Regards Clive Anderson
Lets say your a noob at this but uhh.. Once you finish your landing page and you upload it to your webhosting site such as godaddy.. how would one go about getting that page up and running?
I just built a landing page for my best selling product on Clickbank last night, so I hope you guys are right!
OMG... Another great day today yesterday! I did even more sales then the day before! Things are looking very solid with leading traffic to my landing page first.
Just curious about the 30 sites you had banners on... are they all within the same niche? Also, is it YOUR product you are redirecting them all to? And is it just one landing page that each banner is redirecting to? Or have you redirected banners to different landing pages for different products? I can understand why it is good to get people to the landing page as you can give the basic information that helps them make up their mind...
All the same Niche. I'm promoting 4 competing Clickbank products. Just one landing page, a review style that compares the top four. Yep, it seems it's working much better then direct linking.
Just an update... those magical days of increased sales are gone. Slow sales the past couple days. Very Slow today.. I'm not sure why either..
