Mambo Issues

I heard nothing but rave reviews about Mambo so I installed it. So far it's only OK. Here is my site. Here are my issues.

    1) In the upper left hand corner it says Blog. How do I change that?

    2) I had to hack into the database to change the contact information and make the form mail to the correct person. Where can I change this in the admin area?

    3) I have a poll published but it's not seen anywhere. It used to be on the homepage however now it's missing. How can I get it back on the homepage or at least linked to so people can vote?

    4) Where can I get good modules or whatever they are called?

I have high hopes for this system and so far it's not living up to my hopes.

Do you have MSN, I might be able to help you because since a month I use a lot of mambo, but its easier to chat on MSN as Mambo is very big so sometimes small things, like the poll thing (you just need to hit 1 small icon, then you see it ;)) take too long to talk to on this forum.

I do have MSN, however I'm on it at odd times. :) You can look for me in the evenings or early am of Central daylight time. I'd be twistermc at hotmail.

By the way, your poll fix sounds to easy to be true. It's is considered published and live. However I'll take any help.

It uses a simple template system, you can easily add adsense by editing the template files.

Twister, I'll come back to this thread later on (when not so busy), and if no one has responded, I'll try.

Modules and components can be found at: http://mamboforge.net/.

In Mambo terms, modules usually add to the menu areas. And, components add to the content area of the page. They also have "mambots", which generally rewrite content somehow (such as bbcode parsers).

I have been trying Mambo thanks to a DP member suggesting it

My only problem now is this new site I have has the same topic as my old site
I really like the design of my site I am not sure how to get Mambo to work with it
without to default templates I see the program has.

My 6 year old site that gets about 1,000 unique visits per day
The new site has the same topic and target but with Mambo I think I can get a real large community going.

Just not sure if I show not focus on keeping the users on my old site
