Malaysian blogger charged with sedition

    I think Malaysia hate bloggers.
    Before malaysian goverment want all blogger must register them self to authoritive.
    Now they plan to send one to jail.

    I don't know that Malaysia hates bloggers. They just don't have the type of free speech that other countries have. This guy could have made the same statements in a Malaysian newspaper or magazine and would probably be charged with the same crime.

    The fact that you have to register with authorities to be a blogger says a lot about how much their government wants to control the free flow of information. I hope we never have such a thing in the US.

    Don't worry, you already have such thing in the US. While poor countries have to it manually, rich countries can do it electronically without you even knowing about it. :)

    That is really sad. Governments should always be scared of the people and not the other way around. Otherwise, it is inevitable the people will suffer at the hands of a government left unchecked.

    Would you be safe with something a little less controversial, but along the same lines, such as this one from Mark Twain?

    I guess the market for malaysian web hosts is going to see a decline from those who value free speech.
