Making Your Own Ebook

    Hi

Say if you want to produce your own ebook and offer it for free on your website, what's the best way of achieving this?

I basically want to make a 15 page ebook and give it away but it would have a few affiliate links in it as well.

I wanted it as a PDF as these seem to be the best but I assume you would need Acrobat to make the pdf? that is very expensive to buy.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to do this?

    Thanks for your help!

Simply use Microsoft Word, write your ebook and save it as PDF. If you don't have MS Word, check out Open Office. With both programs you can save documents to pdf.

Open Office is a free download and works very well for keeping your link when you publish your document to a pdf. Make sure you test your links in the pdf before you send it out.

I use OpenOffice as its free and simple to convert to pdf. You can also put a graphic on the cover and some graphics or screenshots throughout the book to make it more interesting and give it a 'look' that people like. Add colour freely to make the book look attractive while maintaining the readers interest - it works!

There are many free ways to create pdf, and you can use Open Office. But be sure to check that your links are working / are clickable when you publish it. I have had problems with Word.

After you publish it, I would create a banner for your eBook or add it as a free download (bribe) for people who'll subscribe to your newsletter.

You can write your ebook ans insert some affiliate links on it also don't worry about reading PDF files. Foxreader is a free software for reading PDF files. So every one with any budget can read your ebook !

I also recommend OpenOffice. It's free and simple to use. It's what I use for all my eBooks and PDF documents.
