Dear Alphabet Soup, Well I have being think about the situation that you have and that is people will go to a mechanic first before see you and only time they will come and see you is when the mechanic can not fix the suspension problem. Okay now for the solution and I will start of with this one first and that is list your business in different category in an online directory to help you get found and let customer know what it is you do. Now that I have said that is that all no way the next would be is to look at how you doing your ads in the newspaper, internet marketing, and yellow pages. Now I’m going to look at just the internet and how it could be used to solve that problem outside of just been on the online directory. Wordpress Host Blog, Video marketing, and social bookmarking combining these three together will give you the solution. But really the question is how and what so now I’m going to take at look at both. Okay the keywords for your website are: FREE SUSPENSION CHECK, 4WD Lift Kits, Ride Height, Load Carrying Alterations, Performance Suspension, Wheel Alignments, Suspension Repairs, etc… Now with the Wordpress blog you can write about this or get some else to do that for you. By doing this and having a rss feed into your website you will be doing two things at one time first is rank for those keywords a lot better due to the fact you have fresh content. Then your blogs are able to explain why and what goes wrong with suspension and why should come and see you. Look let juices this some more so now for video marketing and what to do here will add lot more meat to the blog and yes you guest it I would have the video with the blog as well the video on other video sharing sites. i.e you tube, blip.tv etc… Lets look at pedders and how they do their ads for the television now you would have seen those ads most of them explaining what goes wrong and why they should you go and see them. Notice I said most of them and point here is that it is not simple enough or should say how many people do you know stick their head under a moving car to check the suspension lol if they do. So you would do video of car making knocking noise as it turns or the steering wheel shaking or could show what it does to your tyre and how it is that steer is not straight but the tyre are. What ever it is that you pick the consumer has to be able to relate to or it is explained in away that the consumer can relate to it or kiss approach. Now for social Bookmarking and what that is. You join social bookmarking sites and you bookmark your website, blogs and videos and others get to see these and if they like it well they will bookmark it. In turn you ranking for your website will go up at the same time you are spreading the word about your services. With all this there are other things you can do to make money from your online blog and website and all the stuff I have written is what I would have suggest including what I’m about to say. E-Books yes E-Books but not just any old e-book it has to be design and brand with your logo and written not just to inform but also sell your services. You can even have a free e-book to give away on your website to catch emails and set-up email marketing program selling your services. Now if you are asking if this is all necessary well the answer is YES and why it remind the consumer who you are and why they should use you. There is no other format where you can do this outside the customer being at your business and that is because people check their emails more. The only other time they check anything else is when they have not found you or not happy with your service or have forgotten who you are. Outside of all that I would have to look at your ads you are putting in the paper and yellow pages as well your receipts yes your receipts and how they are formatted as well your phone script.
