I have just started a new blog - and was wondering if any one knows a good do follow plugin for wordpress?

There is a plugin called DoFollow for wordpress and it does what it says on the tin - go to wordpress.org and search for the plugin on there.

Does this actually change "nofollow" out now? I was under the impression you'd have to use it in conjunction with another addon.

I currently use something called "Nofollow Case-by-Case." Links default to dofollow, but you still have the option to modify comment links to nofollow.

There are also some cool addons out there that will let you set a number of comments before links go clean - I'm not sure which one that is, though.

Good guy, you are on the right direction! Nowadays, most blogs are nofollow!

commentluv would help you to realize!

Bear in mind that dofollow is probably not a good strategy for your blog. You may want to use your follow pagerank power for better things. If you allow every comment to have follow attrib, you will be losing value that you could use otherwirse.

Actually, all links take a share of pagerank whether or not they include a nofollow attribute. Check out Matt Cutt's blog post about this here - I just saw a post about it somewhere on these forums so I'll pass it along.

Nofollow is kind of useless in my opinion, all it does is discourage knowledgable website owners from participating. n00bs continue to spam nofollow with crappy links, so it doesn't really fix anything at all.

I agree fully with that! :)
I was thinking that my wordpress blogs with suscribe-to-comment where dofollows, I need to verify that. Thanks for the thread.

I assume that these plugins make the comments do follow, not the article itself, correct? Also, is there a tool I can use (perhaps a firefox add-on) that will show me if a page is dofollow or not?
