    Hi all

i just wanted to know if there is any way that i can make my site work if it went down from one server.

like i have hosted the site on two servers. same copy of site. If the first servers went down. how can i make the users to reach the second server.

i think if i make my tertiary name server to point to second server IP. so that if the first server went down and the user can reach the second server via tertiary name server.

please suggest how to do that exactly ?

Ok, you need to understand that nameservers are query randomly. That's mean even if your nameservers is up and another one is down, sites will still appear down and up for all visitors.

You need a real hardware to make this work :D

You may want to look into using DNS failover services offered by quite a few companies. It isn't the best way, but it will get the job done.

The best way if you need to have as close to 100% uptime as possible is to use additional hardware to set up a load balanced cluster.
