Im just getting into adsense so ill have alot of newbie questions, please be patient with me. Am I better with single ad, double ad or four ad adsense banners? What about where on the page to place the ads? Top? bottom? side?
there are no flat out answers. experiment and see what works best for you. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=28425&postcount=16 I made a post there with some tips on getting a good CTR, though.
My view is simple. Make them the logical exit point from your site. However you achieve that is up to you, but if you can get the majority of your visitors exiting your site via adsense links, you're on the right track. Cheers, JL.
I reckon if you put a big skyscraper down the left hand side it's bound to get a lot of click throughs due to it being the place where the navigation is on most sites. Remember and use DP's ad revenue sharing. The more people that use it.. the more people that will gladly click the ads (Delete that if I'm not allowed to say that)
Digital Point's Go to the User CP and put your adsense ID in there. This will allow you to share revenue from ads on Digital Point
What do you mean you're planning to share revenue already. Is that a subtle suggestion about generating revenue?
no no -- (so far not a nickle from DP, hint-hint) On my site (not sure if you looked at my site) I am a car site. We are currently setting up Local Chapters. Each chapter will have their own page with adsense on it. A % of the revenue from that channel will be given to that chapter to use to help pay for their local functions & get togethers (food, beverage, etc) Additionally, a portion of ad revenue from the rest of the site will go into a kitty and be used as a prize quarterly and be awarded to the chapter with the most new members, thus encouraging the chapters to physically go out and get new members and market on and off the web for the site.
I've done something like that on 1 of my sites I've had a little revenue from DP so far but I'm not allowed to say. In fact I don't think I'm even allowed to say I've received revenue through DP.
well, my car site, being my first site, was not started with revenue being the first purpose - I did it for the community (honestly) That is starting to change as I learn. I see many sites in my future. And many new parts of my already existing site.
I was showed a new program where you are supposed to make a lot of money from adsense using directory pages. I got a couple of sites and I have made some decent income. Just wanted to know if anyone else has heard of this? Thanks Will [spam links removed]
