i dont even know if i have got the right words there, bear with me and i will try to explain what i want to do lol I am creating a html sig for my emails (using dreamweaver mx), and have ad images in, some personal, and some from an affiliate program. I am testing it on myself using outlook express, and when you hover your mouse over the images it says the name of the site from the link in the status bar .. that is fine for my personal ads, but not so great for the affiliate ones, as it says ''http: //scripts.affilate etc etc'' .. is there any way i can change it so when the mouse is hovered over the ad, it says ''www name of site'' in the status bar instead ? I hope this makes sense .. lol Many thanks for reading Erica
ok .. i dont know why i didnt think of this before .. but just did a search in help for 'changing link in status bar' it told be about the behaviours panel, and i changed the mouseover for the images. The thing is, when i use it in an email it bring those annoying script error boxes up every time you hover your mouse. Am i only gonna be able to do the status bar change for websites and not emails ? Erica EDIT: sorry .. i should of done this as an edit to last post :s
Since you are creating a html sig. you may try inserting/editing the hyperlink on the images you are using. This should help. But I am not sure if it's legal/ethical to use images from other's site for your own.
hiya, and thanks for replying .. i think you have misunderstood what i am asking. The images are being used legally, they are affiliate links .. therefore i cant change the links, as they have tracking code in them (or whatever it is called lol) I dont want to change the links or code .. just the name that appears in the status bar of the email.
