I have a guy working for me full time and I wanted to hear from experienced webmasters and online marketing experts how best to use his time doing online promotion. Hi skill level is moderate. To date I have him posting on a few forums but I have to write the copy, he can scrape up content and build blogs on blogger, Submit articles, do link requests etc. Does anyone have any suggestions on what they would have him work on and how to budget his time? We run real estate classifieds site that is on an old domain but the site layout is new so we are pretty much starting from scratch in terms of SE traffic. As RE is pretty competitive we do need some quality on topic links to help us in the SERPS.
If you have to spend your time writing the copy for him, I think you're better off using someone else. Sounds like he's pretty worthless to me.
It all depends on what you are trying to do. If you are trying to get traffic that's one thing but if you are looking mainly for page rank I would have him do directory submissions.
At the end of the day it's all about traffic but of course the right type of traffic. Directory submissions? Do directory submissions still help or are the links discounted to some degree these days in terms of PR?
All depends on your market. Honestly all backlinks help but relevant backlinks are much more rewarding.
