so i've this website, lets say it's myurl.com if i set up myurl.com/blog, and post articles on it, does it help my SEO? what thing do i have to take note of when i'm posting the articles there? is it that i can only post one a day? or several?
First off, I think you should start your blog right on your homepage. That being myurl.com, don't bother doing /blog, it is pointless if you're starting a blog. Recent posts will be visible on your homepage the rest will go in an archive. As for posting of articles, I would say one article a day or one every couple days.
Well I want to share my opinion. You can use blogs for different things. I personally write additional reviews of products and services i offer. If texts are sufficiently saturated with keywords then i can put links to main articles with anchor text. Blogs are used by many SEO experts in this way, I hope you succeed.
if you set up a blog you should post unique quality posts there every day if possible but you can post more, what helps your SEO is unique quality content but you'll have to build up backlinks etc.
If main aim of creating that site is your blog then use www.myurl.com For good SEO, update your blog regularly with unique and quality content. Consider keyword density for writing any post.
Unless you have a reason not to - put your blog in the html/ root. In some cases I can see having your blog in a /blog folder, but like I said, unless you have a good reason not to - put your blog in the root.
hmmm but my site is selling an online game currency. my articles are generally about the game itself, how hard it is to earn the currency, before introducing my site in the end. would these articles be suitable as well? it's a wordpress addon via hostgator, would it have any effect if i continue posting my articles there?
Yes it is very profitable. The visitors who comes on your blog, is counted as a visitor of your website, and naturally this thing will help your website in seo point of view. As for posting, no matter. You can post at least once in a week. If you do one in one day, it is far better. Several is also goo but I will not recommend it.
It depends if you want to make blog additional then use myurl.com/blog otherwise use the main homepage for the blog and always post quality Content on blog.
If you are having content on your root folder then you can host your blog at /blog directory otherwise you can put your blog at the root folder. Good contects will help you for sure.
