making movie from pictures - help!

hello all,
how can i make a short movie clip from pictures??
i made it in windows movie maker. but it saves the project as .mswmm..
i want to save it in other formats(avi, mpeg).. what s/w should i use?

 

You can do this in Camtasia Studio, but it's kinda pricey if you don't already own it...

I would do it in flash or swish(really easy and has a trial) and then simply convert the file into your format of choice.
