You can easily make 1500 for the holidays if you create your own product or two. If you are a good at doing research and writing, you can knock out a few products before the holiday season.
Well I have a couple of ebooks actually. I just don't have the skills to market it or even create a good sales page for it.

I have built just one wordpress site, the one in my sig actually.. I am trying to sell it but I don't really have anyone interested in it.... I posted it up here on DP first off.
the only real ways I can think of are, by finding something you can do on elance. or selling off some stuff you might have on ebay. anything else you try u'd have to get pretty lucky to be able to make 1500 bucks by 15th dec.
You can always hire people to setup the sales page for you. And do some partnership program such as if people sell your product then you give them some commission.
you can do affiliate marketing using the method which I described in my signature link, its very useful and have potential to earn a lot
