I cannot make any money with Twitter anyone making money from them? I do have many friends about 400++ now but It seems hard to convert sales for my ebook
It's like anything stick at it and it will come off for you,try to reach more members if you can. Ross
Twitter is just a medium for promoting, you still have to have a great product, etc. For instance it is just like any other marketplace where you are trying to get people to look at your product and purchase it. So many people I have seen lately just get on twitter and follow thousands trying to get them to follow them back and then they spam, that just doesn't work. I also saw a Neilsen article on Twitter yesterday saying that right now 40% of users never come back after the first few days which on facebook and myspace they were only loosing 15%. So basically what the report was saying is that the users do not get hooked on Twitter the same way as other social networking sites and after awhile Twitter will not have anywhere close to the number of active members and traffic it has now.
So, that mean I need more followers to really earn some money from them? may be 1 sale from 1,000 followers?
i would say it is about marketing. There are many factors that affects the sales conversion rate such as your marketing letters/articles, your niche, and your followers(are they really niche targeted?). Put more effort on your marketing strategies and hopefully you can see better conversion.
Okay, now a point of view from someone who has a brain, with more experience: You cannot make even halfway decent money through Twitter. Like FaceBook and MySpace, it is a social site, and people there will immediately peg you as a spammer. You, can, however, make friends there, and later on "Share stuff" with them to look at, but you have to gain their trust, and that takes time. Many many weeks of time! And even then you won't get very far. While you are, TRYING, to do that, the minimum-paid worker washing dishes is making more money, and working far fewer hours. You doubt this? Go ahead and try. See for yourself. Anybody who says different either has his head up his ass and doesn't really know (he is just assuming it is a good place to go because every dumbass out there is talking about it, "hype"), or he is trying to sell you something.
The number of your friends seems to be your advantage in making sales.I agree, sharing stuff to your friends ,that is promoting your product or site with them after building a friendly relationship.
Just keep trying and be patience sales will come..but try also chat with people on ur list so they can get to know you and maybe buy..Good luck!
We have around 2,969 fallowers. Last 30 days we got 36 hits, and we are a popular niche social network. Copper12 is right, go find something else. Each product markets better depending on what its for. Last launch we only did PR and we got into Time Magazine and was on Fox news, the site launched before that we did paid reviews and it was a hit, the next site we build may need another style of marketing. Feel your market and your product to find the right way to promote it, if nothing works, drop it and find a new business.
I use Twitter to follow some funny sites like websites of lol pictures, cats and dogs. I read that some marketers make real money promoting their digital products or coaching but it seems that they were famous on the internet before using Twitter to make extra sales.
I think the question is HOW are you trying to make money with them. Are you promoting a product? Are you doing referal marketing or a third thing? there are tons of companys like "be-a-magpie" etc, that let you make money posting adds. Most important thing is not to spam. Don't post 50 tweets aday containing links. Give abit of your self - "Walking the dog, love thw weather"
400 folowers don't mean nothing, I'd say that 90% of them are webmasters like you trying to make money online.... I truly don't know what's the big deal about twitter :/
Try to increase the number of your followers. Just keep on trying. Sometimes, sales come in the least we expect it.
Make more followers and drive traffic to crazy good looking landing pages... wher ther is not important to sell somethings.... you can promote CPA offers
honestly, its hard for me. So I use other methods, facebook pages are mush more easier as I think, but make a page popular is kinda hard thing.
i find twitter really good for driving traffic to my site but i find the converion for the site pretty weak for Twitter traffic.
