Making money with Free Web Directories

Hi Guys,

I have come up with a small article on monetization methods possible on Free Web Directories. Please give me feedback If I have missed on any of methods ior have made some mistakes.

Actually ur points are all good except for this one.

IMO opinion, or atleast the way I work, when I start something, I see it as longevity.

But I guess if there's a market for it, then it's as good as gold right

Well there is a market for that also, Even I was surprised but they really sell. I have seen many new directories sell in the Sites for sale & also on sitepoint

Dugg it for ya good info for newbies

 

- AdSense (which IMO, makes a directory look really trashy) alternatives:

• Banner advertising
• Affiliate ads/links

- Selling text ads on the email notifications (submissions received, accepted, rejected emails)

 

it is difficult to get into the text link ads program with a PR0 sites, if the directory has pr then it's a different case!

Hi uttoransen, I agree with your point and I feel that sometimes when you have a good alexa ranking you can get into these programs.
