That's a pretty good idea man. I think i'm gonna try it for a student website.

 

I am glad for so many responses. For those that posted negative comments I am not talking about PPC on here I am talking about creating groups, Real Groups to real companies that I own. Many have PM'd me asking for my page.

I have several groups , if your not familiar with facebook click on the "mini feed" secion on the front of the page.There you will see short cuts to all my groups in mini feeds. Here is an example of one of the groups that I have, My wife also does the same thing on her page who is Melissa Lewis Hutton in my top friends. Her focus is Real Estate Foreclosure Links. Which she has several groups for as well. This does work and drive mass traffic to my webpage.

Thanks to all the great PM's and responses. Again the main point here is FREE TRAFFIC! This cost nothing. This is not my only campaign I use, I do pay for PPC and SEO campaigns and I spend a lot, this is just as effective as some of those but costs are better

I sent you a a PM Perry . I am surprised by all the mixed messages on here. Some are Blah or Yawn .. Towards it , some are very excited.
It's so simple really it's all about people and Facebook is a very personal community as long as it's something of value than can help others and or make them money and best of all Free! I quess each is own, but who would blah or yawn at an extra $3-4k a month for 20 mins of work. Guess they are already making a million bucks!

For the 20 or so that did reply I am happy to show you more. What I didn't realize is that if you don't have a facebook account, you will need to create one. It's not like myspace where you can view without joining, but again facebook is free to join as well and takes a min to create a profile. I listed my Facebook Homepage and my Groups so you can see what I am talking about, Yes others suggested making up a Program on Facebook and that does create 10x the money a group does. I am exploring that as well. Once you sign up just request me as a friend as and say"Digital Point" in the question and I wll approve the request. I don't make promises I can't keep but I do promise that if you do create a group on there that is usefull to people you will get signups and traffic! It's a no Brainer!

Sounds like the concept would work but I'm not sure about the $3,500.

 

I hope you do too! Make sure you let me know when your done and I will notify my facebook network of your group. Don't forget to click on Network when your done , based on where you live . And notify the millions of people in that network. For instance the city of Los Angeles, CA has a netowork of483,160. You will see what I am talking about once you look at that feature.

Pretty sweet thread, although the how part is bit difficult to see... anyway - congratulations

 

I hope your goals are met, but I don't want to make it clear it took 30 days of hard work and follow up with questions and updating the groups, making daily posts in the network section to make that money. What I am selling is Affilaite Programs to my Pharmacy Site and Also have a few Poker Related Sites as well. What ever you selling or promoting may do just as well or better, but it all depends on your market base for the product your selling. For example .. I networked and promoted with all the other groups with the same interests i.e. Pharmacy and Poker. So you will want to do the same, for what your selling .. do a Facebook search on how many others are selling the same and then create a group , why your product or services are better , if there isn't anything related to what your doing or not many, you will have more success in your campaign. Market your Network Daily! Once people on their get to know you ,you will gain trust.

Interesting approach, thanks for the idea. We've been trying to figure out a way to use Facebook as a marketing engine for our on-line store. I wouldn't be expecting the same type of returns, but who knows, and like you said, it's free.

Check out my wife's page as well, She markets a totally different product and services than I do, I know she does well but her results are more long term when mine are instant, so you see it all depends on what your selling or promoting.

Hers are Foreclosure Links and Remodle Referals but it works for her as well. She also just picked up a Affiliate Group for Sony Wii Downloads which she created a group for last week. It's really endless free marketing and what you can do there.

Yeah... no way you got $3500 by having a group that 50 people joined, unless you got a HUGE poker player to join your rakeback site.

I have a Facebook group with 90 members for one of my sites. It's nice but barely gives any traffic.
