Making Money with Facebook and How I made $3,500+ in Jan 08 with them!

Here is what I did step by step and I have signed up over 25 new affilates for my RX site just from this last week. I will assume you don't have a facebook account , if you do you will know what steps to skip.

1. Create a Facebook account.
2. Add some of the great programs they have on there- find a friend even personality tests there are 100's and they will bring your space traffic. It takes a bit but your space will grow with people and hopefully if you have been on myspace you can invite your myspacefriends to come over.
3. Go to Groups and Create a Specific Group to what you want to market. (What is great about this is Facebook let's you put in a direct Link, sub link or even affilate Links and then this is really cool, it brings up the links page in a thumbnail for people to see.
4. Now go to their Community Network(Your Only Allowed to Join One Based on where you live) I joined my Australian Network.Can you say more than 500k people in that network??? Then I posted my related group on there. I then did a group search related to what I was selling, which is RX, but there are groups for everything on there, and I joined all those groups, about 28 in all, All RX related. I posted on those groups and then this linked them all back to my Base Group I origially created.

5. Manage your group and make sure it's updated and make it interesting. I held a contest and here is the key, Now I created a Group Event. The contest was for the 25th person that signs up for the Affilate RX program I have gets a iPod. Keep in mind Events are different that groups, but the event we out to 100's . By Creating A Event it auto sends to everyone in your network. Mass advertising again all for no cost to you.

So what ever your selling , offering, promoting or trying to create Affilates. Facebook is a free source to do it at. And you can have some fun doing it.

Another way to make money off FB is to create applications and have links in the applications

 

Much easyer just buying adbrite ads or adsense ads that are unregulated on there and push ringtones.

Regarding my tip re FB applications: keep in mind that FB is on the warpath regarding "worthless" applications. One metric they pay attention to is how many people load your application. So, focus on end user experience and VALUE.

fb social ads suck.... 10 k impressions, 2 clicks, $.40 cpc

I don't think so. Must of them are on unindexable pages.
