Making money with an article directory?

please - share your experience with me! Can an article directory be profitable? And what sums does article directories produce? Is it enough to earn a living from? Is it worth starting a new article directory?

Cool, I want to start an article directory BUT my one will have MANY unique features which no other directory have =).

 

they are alot of work to maintain, but with traffic can be profitable. I own one but quite honestly I am not sure its worth the trouble sometimes. I'll sell it if anyone is interested! (pm me)

 

I've got one as well. It's got thousands of articles that folks have submitted but very little traffic. I don't promote it though - just ended up in one of those "instant submitters" so if I wanted to baby sit some more to weed out the crap and build some links it MIGHT do well.

One thing you should do if your running an article directory is to break the articles up, add different content to the pages, etc.. There are hundreds of copies of the same article all over the place so whatever you an do to "beef up" your content to stand out a bit is a good idea.

 

Good advices guys....but if all you experts also eloborate how to generate the revenue from there.....
1) Adsense
2) Selling Links
3) Etc....

That would a great plus for a new bee as well.

Yes, this is a great biz, some of my client make $2k-5k from these kind of directory. But the main problem is HOW TO...........

What is the best way to generate the revenue from there..... I am also going to research this further and will update the thread shortly....

 

Article Directory can make u money. Sure anything can but in my experience other venues are more profittable and less maintence

Also to start it up requires some knowledge and other things a beginner would not know

 

would you explaing further what other biz you are talking about....... ezine dir is easy to work with. article dashboard is good application to work with....

 

If you have unique content, it is possible, but most will just go to big ones like EzineArticles or GoArticles. At least I would. It's worth a shot. If you do have unique features then you could get it large, but they have to be pretty unique.

 

but what about using the Article Dash Board?
and then the next....
How to generate the revenue out of that traffic.....? the question is still there...
