.mobi definitely does not sound like a good domain extension. Atleast .us has several good word combinations, like Furio.us or De.licio.us...

actually im starting to look at the .uk.com after a lot of big uk companies are picking them up! It pretty much says the website is based in the uk but operates worldwide
If I'm looking at another popular URL, and just about all the extensions are taken, like TheList, I'll go with MOBI, and I won't have a problem with it. Like they really need to type it in when clicking on a link or and ads. lol
