Yep.. it really is. It is just time consuming and get boring
    overtime.

You think that the money you make
will make you feel more happy to work...
but it usually doesn't a whole lot because its works!

Things I do everyday online most of the time:

    1. Reading majority of time (forums, blog, news, etc)
    2. Submitting articles <= Wat I do now mostly to make money.
    3. Watching movies <= JOOX! :D

When I first started out...I was on fire and worked
like a madman full of enthusiasm  and it DID
    payoff...

Now I am losing that burning desire and well, here is
what I' am doing about it:

    1. I listen to motivational music now everyday like constantly or else I go to Joox.
    2. I keep a screenshot of my earnings on desktop just to keep me smiling.
    3. I play Halo 3 online like crazy... I just can't stop and wouldn't want to.

It feel great and all working at home, but sometime I don't know...

The more money you make the more fun it is, lol. You should try and find something that you really enjoy doing and can make money from too.

You play games huh? Have you thought about promoting and making money from a demographic you really know how to connect with? Chances are you have now aggregated enough intel and absorbed enough systems to understand the principles of online marketing, and now just need to niche yourself a bit that can overlap with your other fun viewed activities i.e. gaming... I am shortly launching http://www.assasindiaries.com which could be right up your alley and is getting a lot of buzz.

The online industry is still business, it's freedom in one aspect as you get to sit at a computer at home, however until you automate a comfortable return you will need to work your ass off! I feel your pain, and it's a journey for us all... Never give up, in anything you do, even in gaming. Do the same with your online ventures as you do with gaming - defeat analysis, stealth, reflex/reaction time etc. Micro management and economy management are not that much different in the real world. Look at your data more, see what's missing in your slate of marketing weapons, acquire the skills and hidden treasures that are all over the place you just have to mine them...

Hope this inspires you a bit - look for great new products and ventures all the time - start exploring JV's, Product/service development, perhaps getting some capital and focusing on a proven campaign to just flip your money.

    Cheers,
    Norb.

Maybe because you are looking more for "free ways to advertise," than actually wanting to spend the $.

Maybe you are continuing to do methods that actually don't work, like posting on message boards?

Maybe you are given the right advice to achieve your goal, but you aren't doing them?

Anyway, don't quit. You'll get there.

if you focus on the things that make you money, then you will improve the amount that you are making, and make you a bit happier.

Other than that just focus on things that you enjoy.

Thanks for the encouragement guy! I' am managing to keep
    myself motivated each day though.

Its not that I don't know how to make money online...it just
that it takes lots of efforts and time - which no one enjoy right???

But the result is what matter! :)

Making money online is hard. Everyone who says different is trying to sell you something most likely.

Maybe because you do what you don't like. I mean, you "ONLY" trying to make money. Try to create website that you love. For example, you love gaming, then create a game website. You won't get bored. This is happening not only in online world, but also in offline world. If you don't love your work, you will get very stressful.

Making money is hard. Investing and saving is harder. Some days i make $500+ and spend it all the next day. Its knowing when to save it, when to invest and when to go shopping and have fun!

I think he is bored because he makes money from article submission service?

He said he is submitting articles to make money. So this man start article submission service? Of course it is boring. Try to create a website yourself.

When I first started, my numbers kept improving every month. Then, I had a really bad month where the numbers went down.

That killed a lot of my motivation.

Now, I'm trying to get it back.

I can empathise with how you feel, the only difference being that I'm not making any money! I love writing for the site I have but the fact that I can't even cover my costs with a couple of thousand visitors a day means I have now become very disillusioned and jaded, almost to the point of giving up and not even renewing the domain.

Making a huge amount of money with the site was never part of creating it, but losing money is certainly a very demotivating factor!

Make an actual website rather than just articles. I don't do a lot of work anymore, and I can still pull in a few dollars a day without working hard. It all depends what your goals are, it isn't an easy industry to make loads of money, but it is possible, you just have to put in the time and effort and be smart about your work.

Are you working single? I think that can be a reason. You need a team to make the work interesting. That way, if one is not motivated, the others can take charge of getting the work going..

You should spend less time on forums and and more time adding new content to your site :)
