Making money from links on my site

I was wondering what range I should I charge for advertising on my site.

I just want some ideas of the most beneficial way for me. Like how much I could charge, if I should do banner ads or text links and stuff of that nature. Thanks for the help.

 

you didn't have to post your stat to ask where to put ad. since its a forum, look at how DP puts ads. also look at few other forums. u will get a good idea. even if some ads make you money, try experimenting with different location and color to see which is most effective

 

im not talking about google and yahoo ads...im talking about if i sold advertising space for webmasters to advertise their site....im asking how much i could charge, where i could put them for the most money and stuff like that.

you dont have to spam to get your post count up...ill charge $50 for 1 text link at the very bottom of the website, sick idea!

 

Considering the traffic, for a text link above the fold of the page I would charge around $15 per month.

 

But you don't have any links at the very bottom of yours website...

50$ for pr3 link (game forum) is very high amount i think.

I sell with 5$ and have more traffic than you and same PR. Now it depends , it`s not a calculated price, you set how much you want.

 

I would charge 40.00 a month, 10 per week. It depends on how many visitors your site receives. The more the better obiously you could charge more then.

 

Well, I`m not spammer but I think 15$ is very small price. I think 30$-40$ you should take, it`s not little and not too much because you have very nice traffic. If you need any help just pm me!

well why do you want to offer text links on your website my suggestion is go with some affiliates of your forum niche like its about halo correct ? get some affiliate links on your website and it would get you some money daily

 

Nice forum! I'm not sure if you can get people to directly advertise since it's not a business niche oriented site (e.g. Wastewater Treatment News).

I would recommend Google ads and see what they do for you.

See http://www.windychat.com & http://www.mapforums.com to see how I am doing it with a couple of vBulletin forums like yours. For regular visitors who are logged in, most of the ads disappear so they are not annoying.

Google ads are less headache and worth a try with your traffic.

 

You could try CPM and get a reasonable amount with less effort.

Switch to your own sales once your stats are up.
