So the last 2 days have been spent backlinking. There is a simple reason for this - my traffic is very, very disappointing.

This has meant I have been doing a bit of profile creation, creating a few Squidoo lenses and submitting to GoArticles and EZA. Quick backlink creation that I hope will start taking an effect within a week. Today will be about getting a few more hubs up (aiming for another 3) as that has let me down in the last few days.

    Yesterdays Stats

    Weekly stats reset on Mondays

Hubs: 62 (+1 for the day, +2 for the week)
Adsense Income: $1.53 ($5.48 for the week, $6.57 in total)
Search Engine Traffic: 20 (worst this week, total is now 108 for the week)

Hi Nick, did you say you use the AdWords Keyword tool to discover how many backlinks a given site has? Where is this feature? Thanks and looking forward to following how this goes.

No, been using yahoo for that (or more specifically a plugin for my browser - on both FF and Chrome - that quick links me to that info)

    Wish adwords did do that!

How much do you pay for article bot? Never tried a spinner as yet.

When you sway create 50 profile pages to link to the hubs, are you referring to social networks here? And you just place a link in the bio or what?

    Articlebot is $25 - http://www.incansoft.com/IS0030.php

But tbh it is not as useful as it once was, I am looking forward to using this months adsense cheque to buy article marketing robot which has a large reputation it seems

as for the profile pages I mean creating profiles on high PR forums - you can then put links in the personal info type sections with anchor text. I find after a few weeks about 25 - 30% will show up as backlinks

Ah right, thats a lot of forum registrations!!! Can see why you outsource it :) do you use a site that tells you the top PR sites?

    Yeah, shareaholic,

It is a lot of registrations - but have done some manually (yesterday for the first time in awhile) and once you have alist of forums you can use it is actually pretty quick, especially with the roboform plugin. But outsourcing it makes sense time wise as can get it done for a fraction of what I consider my time worth.

Finding them - I have manually searched (and outsourced manual searching) using various forum 'footprints' and made a list. I believe there is software that you can use for it though - I am especially interested in scrapebox but that will have to wait until next month for me to buy (have a strict limit of only spending half my adsense cheques on adsense projects - I won't spend more than I half of what I earn from adsense including outsourcing, domains, hosting etc - which is what I would be using scrapebox for).

The only 'additional' spend I allow myself on projects like that is what I earn from my hubpages and squidoo page creation special offers - that I also allow to be spent on various projects (across all aspects, not just adsense)

Disappointing day yesterday. I did 0 hubs, 0 income and almost no traffic. On the plus side I did pick up a very cheap piece of software for finding lists of suitable forums for profile creations and semi automating signing up to them. So played with that creating about 100 profiles (with 4 links per profile).

Anyway loads of work to be doing so just a quick stat check

    Yesterdays stats

    Hubs: 62 (+0)
Income: $0 ($5.48 for the week, $6.57 in total)
Traffic: 14 (worst this week, total is now 122 for the week)

Hubpages is one of those new content sites Google loves, much like Squidoo, it's great they allow Adsense sharing

I've answered this question a dozen times on the forum so let me clear it up right here as well...

Hubpages DOES give do follow backlinks.. with restrictions

    1) no more than 2 links to any one url per hub (any more and it goes no follow)
    2) YOUR personal hubscore (not the score of the hub) needs to be above 75 (not hard to do)
    3) (I think) the score of the hub has to be above 40 (almost impossible to get below 40)

In fact one of the best benefits of this is that on my other projects I am developing a huge number of hubs I can use to link out - and as I am also backliking the hub they will slowly be gaining in power themselves!

Doing all this effort on your own blog will be much more profitable I guess. Hubpages display their own publisher iD ads alongside yours, you never know if their ads are getting more clicks. Maybe! Who knows! Why let someone else get rich thru your efforts? Do it for yourself.

I have numerous of my own sites making a decent earning off of adsense and also intend to try build a large adsense content site of my own from scratch as my next experiment... but creating a massive network of hubs that are making me money and, importantly, able to send backlinks and traffic to future projects such as my own content network is a useful tool for both income and future SEO work

A brand new piece of software they haven't even written the sales letter for yet!

From Incansoft - who make a number of 'bot' software pieces. None are especially high quality but all do the job and are very affordable - and this does seem to be their best one yet with regards finding forums for keywords

I should imagine that when it goes on full sale it will be $30 like all their software but right now 'forumbot' is an amazingly cheap $7.77 (they use this price until they create their sales letter etc so if you do click the link below you simply get taken straight to a sales page - but means you will have to be quick in buying it).

At that price was a no brainer for me! Not going to set the world alight software but a decent set up and for about the same amount as 2 pints costs in my local.

    http://www.incansoft.com/ForumBot.php

    Hope it helps!

P.s. since this sounds like a sales letter I should [point out

    a) I am intending to buy scrapebox which is meant to be far higher quality when I get my next adsense cheque
    b) I have no affiliation to Incansoft or this software whatsoever other than using a number of their software offerings

Do you have connections that mean you can get it before its released because the website is just an email opt-in form? Is it simple enough to use once you install it? Could you tell me what a forum footprint it please - I assume a resource/list which you then create your own list from? Thanks for the info btw

ah, must be because it was sent out to all customers who have purchased other software off of them...

a forum footprint is simply the set up a forum has that is easily searchable. for instance 'powered by phpbb' will find you forums using the phpbb software (and more useful when you couple that search with a keyword such as 'xbox' etc)

No offense but if you are going to write 200 articles would it not make more sense to sell your content?
Here on Digital Forum you can sell your writing skills for minimum $0.01 per word then you will make atleast $400 if all of your articles are 200 words plus!
I know adsense CAN be a passive income but its not always and the click through rate is often hard to achieve.

If you are a good writer i suggest you look into paid writing sites such as Demand Studios where you can earn $15 per article.

    Just my 2c

I will be interested to see if you can do it and what the results are.
