Making Money from Forums

I think that many people miss this very profitable way of making money online in almost any niche. If you own some sites on certain niches, it's a great idea to try to find specific forums on your niche.

You should then make quality posts to them, and try to put your link in your signature to get some free targeted traffic to your site. If you give good advice, you'll be viewed as an expert and automatically gain several sales if you do it well.

Some niches have tons of forums but hardly any experts. If you dominate this method well enough, you can virtually take over entire forums and be viewed as the sole expert, which equals hundreds to thousands of dollars.

There are tons of other ways of making easy money online that I've used, but this is one that many people overlook sometimes.

Providing valuable insight, and showcasing your expertise. Two good reasons also.

Definitely. Being viewed as an expert and showing off your knowledge can be huge.

It'd take quite a while to do. At least a couple weeks

Actually, it can happen almost instantly. I had sales happen from the first few hours on some with never posting there before.

I can see how this wil work. This can be extremely valuable for people with sites that fit a very tight niche. If they provide some help on these forums and then link to their site, it can be valuable. However, I wouldn't recommend this be the first tghing you do after joining a forum though because yit can look as if you are spamming.

    Hi ,

There are many ways of making money off your forum. Some methods I know is below :

    1- Forum Signature
    2- Paid Posting
    3- Hire posters
    4- Word of mouth

If you atleast get active members and open a contest about referring I'm sure you'll gain enough members and posts and make some good $$$

Don't forget about getting advertisers to pay you directly once your forum starts to grow.

You forgot to add two things I've seen help blow up a forum in the past that's insanley large today as a result of it.

    5- VERY catchy name
    6- Swag
(People love free gear for making xxx number of posts) esp if the name & logo on the swag is rocking.

    :D

Create a Signature that makes people want to click at them. Work with curiosity, colors, special information, etc...

Just wanted to add something that DOESN'T work. Adsense.

I have a 6,000+ strong membership forum and the CTR is a pitiful 0.1% !

I'd have to agree. I'm not a big fan of Adsense. I know that it might work for some, but I don't think it works well for "most" people.
