making money from adsense with an article website

Hi

Could anyone tell me how I could make money with google adsense with a how to article site? I would like to start an article website, something like ehow where members can join and write articles on how to complete various task. I would also like to pay these members base on how many views their pages receieve and maybe clicks on ads.

anyone knows how I can do this and run a successive site?

Your idea is good. Of course you can earn lots of money from your website. The question is that whether you can get your visitors in this highly conpetitive battle.

 

true but i'll like to try but i'll have to do some research first or maybe get a partner. You know how I can do this and if there's any good script out there that I can use that won't cost me an arm and leg? I could even add other cpc sites like adhitz to generate more income

don't mean that I would click on the ads, what I meant to say is that the members will get paid base on how much the ads on the pages get click, if thats how it works I don;t know. Guess its the same way like how some forums paid to post and I don't know how that works so if anyone cn tell me how it works I would be very greatful

promote your article directory first....and then start talking about ads....because article directory is highly compatative niche...

This is called revenue sharing, this forum does something similar. It is PHP code that lets people enter their google adsense ID into their user account, and you would want it so that when someone posted an article to your article directory it would randomly pick either the authors google adsense ID or your google adsense ID so that the earnings were 50/50 (as close as possible).

Whether any article directory scripts have this built into them though, I have no idea, you may have to hire a custom programmer for some of the ideas you want to implement into your directory.

i think it's a great idea..but,the problem is article website is a very high competition niche..But, it's not a mistake if you try..go ahead..

 

You could easily set up something like go articles has, each article that shows up on the site has some adsense placed around it. Since it is all relative content then you automatically get eyes on the ads. If need be you could go in manually and palce relative ads in each how to section. Since the visitors will obviously be looking for a way to solve a problem the more info the better.

To pay your members based on page views you would need to set up a basic plan, like for every ten views they get 50 cents or something like that. Figure out what would work best for you and still keep your profit up and then set up a payment plan.

Great Idea but website promotion is very important.

 

I have made similar websites since early 2006, I use Drupal CMS, a bit of code to deal with the adsense revenue part and the USER REFERRAL module to deal with the referral program (very important if you want your members to recruit new quality members for you)
Everything is free if you do it yourself.

I believe for your first project you should really go with adsense, because then you can restrict membership to adsense publisher, at least you will have less porn/casino/pills garbage to delete.

 

you probably can just do revenue sharing. but even if it is adsense revenue sharing article site, it still would need lots of effort promoting it. i myself have n article directory and its an seo uphill battle for there are really people who have greater domain above. but who knows you could outrank them

 

That's why it is very very important to have a referral program, so your members can link to your site, it will improve your seo and also recruit more members (= more content) without any effort from your part.

I would want a script or site so that I won't have to pay them, they will be paid through the adsense. Its a bit of a problem to earn the $100 needed for cashout through adsense, the request the check which will take weeks as I live in Jamaica, then send back the money to paypal and do the payments.

 

ok, but I don't know a script, perhaps you can decide on a script to create your site and then pay some money for a coder to do the revenue sharing for you, or best, you can post on the forums of the script you've chosen and ask for help there, you'll have to do it yourself but at least you'll learn something in the process.
Don't forget the referral program, if you forget it, you can forget about the whole idea, you won't go anywhere without a referral program, will be too much work all the time to recruit new members.
