    Hey

I found great way to make money from AdSense out on the boundary of my site.
I created a toolbar in www.effectivebrand.com and they have an option to put your AdSense id.
Every time the toolbar user search the web he'll get your AdSense ads and
if he clicks on it you'll get your share.
I been able to see few $$$ from this toolbar and get some happy users also.

    From Google Adsense Policies:
A site or third party cannot display our ads, search box, or search results as a result of the actions of any software application such as a toolbar.

Exactly, contact them first, they may want you to stop but if not, lucky you. I doubt it will be allowed though.

It's a wonderful idea, but it's not a fair way to make money. It can discredit loyal Google AdWords advertizers and they will leave.

    sounds sketchy to me.

i've noticed many free hosts out there that put their ads at the top of all sites they host.. is this allowed? is that considered 3rd party?

This is what Effective Brand says in their forum about the Adsense feature:

"The Google AdSense ads appear on the search results web page, not in the toolbar (the toolbar is just an easy way to access the search results page) so there isn't any violation of the Google TOS."
