Hi, I was thinking to start a forum. A forum related to a popular gaming niche. Can some one tell me if there is a scope to earn big from a forum? I am expecting 500-2000 new visitors each day from 1st week.

Well, I will try my best to make my forum popular .. ! But what can I give my member after they purchase a subscription.. ? This thought also came into my mind to provide subscription ... but then I let it go, as I cant think what can be provided to special members..
It all depends on the traffic and popularity of your forum. It you get good popularity and traffic you will surely earn lots of money by many ways.
Paid subscription would be useful when the forums gets very popular. Lots of options are there like, big PM size, special forum (e.g forum for VIP or special member), user title option etc. G!
and what is the definitional of "Very Popular" forum? 2k-3k daily visitors ?? or 1000+ members and 20-30k posts??
First you need to start a forum ,, then you could think about other facility , option ..and big money ,,

You will have invest a lot of time and efforts to make your forum popular and only then you can think about profit.
Can I just say that there is no way you are going to get 500-1000 UV's in a week without having to pay for it is going to be almost impossible. I don't see any way you could possibly generate that many visitors having a forum myself, not unless you already have a following on some sites like youtube or something. And you shouldn't be worried about making money on a forum as it will ultimately affect your forum. I would instead focus on creating a forum which has a good member base and ensues a quality community factor in everything that it does. So that people will be inclined to come back and ultimately they will help to further build your forums!
Making money from forum can be really easy if u r able to get people work on your website. If you can get more views and more users you will keep earning lifetime from your forum.
hmm.. paid subs seems to be a good thing. If We give nice stuff to the paid members.. we are likely to increase sales!
