I have been working really hard making a ton of profit doing online marketing WITH OUT GOOGLE ADSENSE I have been finding businesses with websites and just help the get their website traffic - they are willing to pay well and I have a constant viral income stream, I charge them 30 - 50 dollars a month for the up keep to add 2 articles about their site and I pay a write to write them and I hardly touch anything - of course you have to know how to get the site up in the search engines - but its really not that hard to do. The average business will pay 1-2000 dollars to have this done for the first service and 50 per month for the 2 articles every month. its good money and as I said after the first service I dont have to do nothing but have the writer write the 2 maybe 3 articles and submit them to a distribution service. As an added bonus we do press releases for 50 dollars and get t hem a good deal of exposure. Heck we made 13,000 dollars in 3 weeks... not bad!!!
Sounds like a nice steady stream of income. I think a lot of webmasters forget how many small to mid-size businesses there are out there that still need help tackling the internet.
Mr Crow, Very good!!! Looks like you found your niche. Sounds like you enjoy what you do as well. Keep up the great work
so you just walked up and said "if you give me 50 dollars a month , I'll post 2 articles from your site and get you some traffic" sorry if that sounded stupid just wondering..
Great! There is definately a lot of small and medium sized business that are looking for similar services. You'd be surprised at how many of them would be willing to pay or barter for simple web services and maintanence. If they aren't too interested in paying for your service, try a trade of some sort... I managed to significantly reduce the price of my home hi-fi system this way.
Nice do you do this on a freelance basis or do you have a website where you get your clients from Or do you just contact webmasters to ask if they are interested in your services? Didier
I don't know how Mr.Crow did it but in the past I would aproach local business owners in person, usually at their place of business. While I'm out shopping for something (I prefer small shops rather than big corps... give back to the community) I'd start a conversation with the shop owner and see where it goes. Many of them would love to have a website but aren't sure how to go about it or are afraid of the initial cost and maintenance. Another good way is to take out a small add in the local newspaper or classifieds... don't forget the chamber of commerce, it's full of small business owners looking for a way to extend their client base with a business website/blog. Any other ideas? PS: You can but some signage on your car/home to advertise your services. Pete.
Here is a little tip of how to get it going - I found a couple of well connected and respected businesses with websites that were failing and that I could easily make a huge difference in their traffic and hopefully sales. I then without them knowing it began promoting their website for free - I did some really simple things that most owners never even do that make a huge difference in traffic , all the time documenting it - You should see their face when you go to their office and see that their site only shows up by the work you have done - ie " articles you wrote about their company, press releases" next even more so when they look at the stats since you had begun doing it.... Now let me tell you - this person will open his roledex of business contacts to you - and recommend you all the way...... Get 2 or 3 of these types of contacts and you will never look back .... Yes it requires hard work ... yes its not a get rich quick scheme - but its a way to earn an honest living. Since then we have people approaching us for sites, hosting and a slew of other stuff....
Absolutely correct - its actually pretty easy - if a person takes the time to listen , a shop owner actually loves to be given the opportunity to tell you what he wants to have but cant have it because he lacks the knowledge , time or finances to do it ... All you have to do is help him fill that need and BAm there you are...
We have done them for retail stores, real estate , chiropractors, car dealers and many more - Just be careful not to go to such a small business that it would be unrealistic to get that monthly fee from ... So the real small ones , only plan on using them to get your foot in the door to fry bigger fish
when you write articles about these companies, where are you posting the articles so that they get enough local traffic to impress the business -- on another local site?
Good Job. Everyone needs to consider that marketing is not just about a online customer. There is a large % of the businesses that are offline and want that online help.
Yes Very True - You would be surprised how much can be done locally in an offline business using online marketing
Well done. Networking is still a big player in the game of marketing. Of course there are many people who are lost with any type of SEO in the corporate world - many only use conventional methods of offline marketing, so you would have to sell yourself, unless of course you target those who have old and outdated sites... like Mr Crow says - hard work - but if you put ur neck into it - then you will do quite well!
offline businesses who arent successful at internet marketing or just dont have time are more than happy to shell out the bucks if you can show them a reason to beleive that its possible
