Ok sounds like a 1st grader talking but! I got the links. Got the key words Got the Meta description Been around over 6 months Any advice
Is the site whitedovecleaning.biz? If it is, then you don't have enought links, or links that arn't good enough. Your PR is just 1! Searching for back-links brings up nothing!
You meta keywords are totally spammy. You need to clean them up On your menu add alt and title attributes to the <a> and <img> tags And a hint, when composing text for your site don't use Microsoft Word, it adds some real nasty stuff to your code. Use a plain text editor like edit pad lite and then copy into your website system and format there. Sarah
Quite simply you do not have information for G to look at.... This is your page Look how far G [or any other] has to go to get info...it is all images first and that is a waste of time Your Title is not specific and you do not have h1 or any good onpage seo Forget metas, apart from the description that G will sometimes use, as being relevant and concentrate on anchorlinks, title, h1, text I mean after all the first word G sees is "Welcome" .....not good huh?
Your site is at least indexed by Google but Foxy's right, you need to give Google spider something tasty to eat.
IF I was a google spider! What words would I like to eat! My site is tool for my cleaning business; I’m having a hard time trying to incorporate keywords into my WebPages without making my WebPages describe something we do not do. Note: we have been a business for four years, we have been successful and had a website site since last year. It works well but I would like a greater saturation on google.
google eats everything. But you need to think like a PERSON! If you were searching for a cleaning business what words would you use? I wrote a mod for a free hit counter called webanalyse years ago which pulled out the search words from the logs. This let me know the words people were using when they found my site. The latest version has my mod incorporated. If you use it you may be targetted by referral spammers so make sure you password protect the stats page using .htaccess I would then compare that with the words I thought they should be using and make the emphasis to increase my chances of being found. Ofcourse if they were searching using other words and not finding me then I had no way of knowing that. So to get around that you have to think laterally and have a muck about on digitalpoint's keyword suggestion tool. Be careful though - you don't want everyone across the country looking for you, just the locals!!! Sarah
but i do, want the guys and girls in ca-wa to see me . we do construction cleaning also ( about 25% of our business is that very thing. and there corporate hq could be 1500 miles from there construction project. Thats the problem ..I have to be local for work but global for prospects. I have to be down home alabama yet think main stream america.
The site is clean and navigates well in my opinion. One thing to look at however is the large images. The header takes up a large portion of the screen, and it forces the user to scroll to read more of the text. As far as content goes, I do understand your point, it seems as though you do a variety of things. I would recommend on your services page, that you put the secondary navigation under the text, or make them smaller (maybe not all caps). The text kinda gets lost. good luck!
I was toying with the idea of just capitalized letters for the headings, since my day to day is running the biz and my nights are occupied with web, family and etc i will try this approach. thanks
