    Yes, I've actually tried using this and you can make free calls from Android to iPhone and vice versa as long as both parties have Viber installed. Or you could just go with Skype since it's more popular.

    I use Rynga because they're the only VOIP provider I could find that will give free calls to South Africa, and we often need to call there. Landlines only though.

    I say free. You still need to pay, because you only get your free calling after you recharge your account, and then it's valid for 3 months. It's good though, I recharge with 10 Euro every 3 months, get free calls to SA and a stack of other countries, and then use up the credit on mobile calls and text messages.
