I was speaking to a guy ages ago, and he said that he knows a company in Taiwan where he sells stuff for them and he gets a percentage of the sale, and also the people in Taiwan ship it to! Is there anything I can get like this?
Sounds like a Drophship Wholesaler. Basically, you sell their products and keep a certain percentage while they send directly to your customers.
I have an account with WorldWideBrands.com. This is pretty much what they specialize in. You should really read there before getting involved in a dropshipping business. Not all people who claim to be true dropshippers actually are.
Background: I was an eBay Powerseller with over 10,000 feedbacks. I still sell products on eBay, but have cut way back on my efforts there (and on Amazon, too.) I stock some items and drop ship others. Smaller orders kill you with drop shippers as they add a 'handling fee' that can eat away your profits. And since eBay margins are so slim and there are so many larger competitors than you already on eBay, it is difficult to compete effectively in these marketplaces. You also have to deal with drop shippers' shipping mistakes, which they are usually very reluctant to correct or assume any responsibility for. So, the advice that you received from others to be careful and look closely into starting such a drop ship business was spot on. Be careful.
