well i was "busy" the last two days and finally wrote/rewrote my own PHP script based on the simple ECS-Sample on amazon's developer site. I had a godlike idea after i came across "Amazonhunter" (see http://www.1up-seo.com/fantastic-way-make-big-money-adwords-and-amazon-review-amazonhunter) which is a fantastic program to pull hundreds, thousands of products right off amazon and create adwords-ads right off it ! Read my impressions about amazonhunter on my blog above. So..i had thousands of new ads with GREAT quality-score for many, many amazon-products. Now i did something genius: I wrote my own custom PHP, keyword-driven PHP script which pulls products off amazon and optimizes a website. I can give my script either a keyword like "Canon Powershot" and it optimized my site to "Canon Powershot" and shows a whole range of cameras. I can also give my script a single-product description, then it shows the product on the site. Of course all products and images have links to amazon with my amazonID in it. I wrote this because i needed something "simpler" than astore or Associate-O-Matic - and i especially wrote it with adwords in mind ! I can now have hundreds of amazon-products in adwords campaigns and give the keyword from adwords (from within the destination url in the ad) back to my site like: http://www.example-shop.com/?keyword="Acer Aspire 12564 XY" I can do that from Adwords with just the paramater "{keyword}" in the destination URL ! As a result ALL my adword-campaigns and keywords have great quality score (hehe)..since i only need ONE (!) website for ANY of billions of products on amazon...and the site dynamically builds itself using the keyword from adwords on the fly ! This is the coolest thing and i am proud I was first working with the outdated (ECS3.0 !) scriptoff chipdir.nl, but i really recommend the ECS-SimpleStore.php on the developer site since it neded only very simple modifikations. I also HIGHLY recommend Amazonhunter (see link above) to pull items off amazon and create adwords ads automatically! georg
Thanks for the tip on amazon hunter. I had been looking for something like that for quite a while. Thanks again
Great idea. I hope this makes you a nice profit. You may also be interested in doing the same for Acclaim Subscriptions affiliate program - thousands of magazine subscriptions with good payout worldwide. It complements amazon traffic.
amazonhunter is great, great, great. Not only do i have HUNDREDS of ads up now. But it's also great for just doing some brainstorming, checking the competition etc..etc. since it shows you how much ads are up for a certain product. I added a twist tho: For the ads where there is already someone having an ad up i made a bunch of my own sites with my own domain. Say...i had ads for "Canon EOS 400D" but someone already used amazon's Display URL. So i made my own sites conforming to all requirements Google want for high quality score. Now i have lots of sites and in addition many products just having the amazon.com display URL. I really, really highly recommend amazonhunter, see my amazonhunter review, you can read my raving review on my site It's defintly up on par with tools like keyword-elite and similiar and i use it for some weeks now and already made some bucks with highpriced items Cheers, Georg
yes...it's not free. But its definitly worth the money. You might pay some bucks for amazonhunter, but you save costs for hosting and maintaning your own website You can see my new teaser-page (in my sig)...and you see a example screenshot from my adwords campaign. You see the "great" quality score ? And this without the need to have your own site. So...for hosting you would maybe pay $XX/year...and you can save all this and just focus on ads without any competition on adwords. Make a few sales with some nice items and you got the money back. Or just be an AH affiliate yourself and resell AH I am not pushing BS products, but once in a while i come along some great tools and AH is certainly one - thats why i also blogged about it (and of course i use AH myself)
nope...not really...it's pretty common that people have ads up for amazon or CJ programs etc. Prolem arises only then if you have a competitor which bids higher than you with the same display URL. But for this case i have my own sites
