Making Backlinks for Articles

Hi guys...one quick question for the experts:

I know about making backlinks for my site, but what does it mean to make backlinks for my articles? Would it be like writing an article about, for example "How to lose weight" and then, in that same article, linking back to another one of my articles, entitled "Fat Burning Foods- 5 Junk Foods that Actually Burn Fat?"

Of course, in your resources box, you would link back to your main site. Did I get that right or is there another meaning behind "backlinking for articles?"

yeah, that is one type of link you can get, obviously, you'd want to anchor text that link back to your first article to increase rankings, such as junk foods burn fat. You can also get blog comments, signature comments, etc, and point them back at that article.

You can link to your article from anywhere you want. Using articles to link between each other is one way, you can also use your website/blog to link to your articles.

I find social book marking and URL directory sites to be good for backlinks to my article also.

Creating links from articles directories is still effective. I'm still doing the process and contented with the result.

Yes basically, you can do this,

Lots of people tend to put a main version of their article out there - whether on the article site or their own site, and then either completely copy and paste, or perhaps alter the article slightly and paste it to other article directories and link back to the main one.

But of course you can build links to the article any way you please, through blog comments, forum posts, or just finding quick ways to make backlinks any way you can.
