Making Animation

    I would really like to know what kind of tool (free would be great) I can use to make quality animations? Like for banners.

    Most people use Adobe Photoshop to design an animated banners.
    If you want t a free alternative then start learning GIMP.

    Oh I have licensed Photoshop but can't understand how to make banner with it.
    Any tutorial would be great.

    Try to use Adobe Imageready...can help you do simple GIF files..

    make layers in photoshop then jump to image ready. u can animate ur layers there and make nice animated GIF banners.
