I see a lot of people are trying to earn via craigslist. I'm wondering how does it work. I decided to try it out. Here's what I did: 1st - I wrote an ad describing the product I'm offering 2nd - Posted the ad on craiglist and on 3-4 other sites similar to craigslist. 3rd - Wait and see what's gonna happen Is this this the right way to go?
I know that people who make money out of craiglist post multiple ads, sometimes they use bots and even spam, I just posted a single ad on 2-3 different web sites so I doubt that it will produce much success, however, it takes zero effort to do this, so I gave it a shot
works like a charm actually - my aff's do this all the time. A great way to go is to be very non-intrusive - provide an email in your ad not ad afflink - and autorespond to the email with your pitch. **The bots don't work, CL now has phone verification on many sections, and your posts get ghosted at even the slightest smell of an aff ad ( ghosted=you can see the ad- but nobody else can and it's not in the public listing). To be honest, I see some pretty insane conversion ratios to my products with the above tactics - it's a good way to source buyers rather than to post a domain/aff link.... Please share your results, if negative try a different product/approach. N
The trick is to post a legitimate piece of text describing your product. So many affiliate sales on craig's list just sound like pure spam. Spend some time writing a quality description of your product that doesn't sound gimmicky or spammish, and you should do okay. Goodluck! and, let us know how it goes!
So how many ads should I post, my goal is to make it legit and not spam, If it involves even spamming to a small extent, I don't wanna do it. Should I post ads in different cities in craiglists, or post just in one city, also how many ads should I post and how often? Can you tell me of a good free autoresponder? Thanks for the help
I created a new gmail account and I'm gonna use the intergrated vacation autoresponder feature that gmail has. I sent an e-mail from my other e-mail address to the new one just to test the autoresponder and it was working well, got the response in less than 5 seconds Gonna think of a good text for the autoresponder now, after I do that, I'm gonna post some ads
Oh, that might actually sell. They have forums for car related stuff on there. I think you could make some green with this idea.

Not sure about city size. Maybe post in a dozen small cities to start. I wouldn't post ads too frequently. Try just one ad this week in about a dozen cities to see how it goes.
The ads get flagged very often though. Definitely never leave live link in the ad. Change your ip after posting 3-4 ads. Change text and headline for each ad.
A lot of people post affiliate products on Craigslist and some of them do very well. What you posted is about right. You just need to keep your ads up and try a few different products, some will obviously perform better than others and then you can focus on the ones that work well.

Different classified sites have different types of visitors. The best way to find out is to try and find out the ones that do well for the types of products/services you are promoting
