Making adwords pay? How does it work?

    Hi,

I am interested in how people use adwords to make money from their adsense websites. Could someone please explain. Intuition tells me it's along the lines of bid on small priced kwds and hope that people click on you adsense ads based on higher keywords?

I am particularly interested in using this method on www.cornwallsurfpoint.co.uk

    Thanks
    Jamie

you're not likely to make it work with adsense, honestly.

most people who do it do it with affiliate programs.

You have the theory correct, you bid on words that will bring traffic to your site and hope those visitors will click on a higher paying ad. It's possibly, but your chances of being successful are very small because you are paying google X and each visitor isn't going to click an ad. Even if each visitor did click an ad, you are only paid a percentage of that click (let's say 50 percent). It's similar to paying $1 to get someone to visit a store that is selling items for 50 cents. If you have an authority sites that isn't subject to smart pricing, you will get paid more per click so your chances of making money will obviously increase.

If you are going to experiment, do it will a very small budget that you can afford to lose, and understand that the chances of making money doing it are against you - but possible.
