Have taken many optimization measures, but no improvement in CTR. Now as been advised, matching font size and color of ads to site content.

What font size do adsense units use? I am having difficulty matching it exactly with the content on my site. http://www.wordtutorial.net

Am using font family Verdana and have selected the same in the Adsense style.
Problem is with font size. Am using size 14px in the content and Medium size in the adsense style. Tried other sizes too, not matching with ads.

Secondly even if i use Large font size, the one appearing in leaderboard is quite small. any thoughts on that?

Would be grateful for any other comments on the adsense placement etc on my site

i personally think that the ads font should be different and a bit larger, you want them to draw attention...

I used to do that. But recently saw some youtube videos by expert speakers and read in books that the BLending strategy that google recommends works good for article sites. The experts recommend that it should be very well blended- the font size and color should match. That draws more attention, of course the placement should be such that they are not confused with navigation and some other adsense terms.

Adsense styles give three options for setting font size of ads. Small, medium, large. You can set it there.
Messing the code provided by adsense is against the TOS.

Any know what are the pixel size equivalents of small, medium, large sizes?

I preffer creating ads in the way that they are in the same style as the rest of website. But sometimes it is not a good idea and it is better to create ad in the way that users see that it is ad. You can always make some tests about it and check which style will give you better results.
