    Hey i'm new to this whole adsense thing - i originally wanted to create a website with photoshop tutorials and that kind of stuff that i have made on it. So i was wondering if i could have some tips on what features i need to add to my website - should i be looking into a different area, basically what kinds of things do i need to do to be able to make it a site with high traffic?

    I made one before http://photoshopinfo.blogspot.com but kinda gave up on it. It did pretty well, but I couldn't keep up with it. If you can get users to submit tutorials than that would help alot. It's hard creating new tutorials all the time.

    Type photoshop tutorial in google. That's a pretty congested field I'd imagine.

    So you just blogged tutorials? I've actually got a website that I have created with its own page for each tutorial - would it be better to just blog them up?

    I would say , create it , work for it for let's say a few weeks/months, If it realy isn't working ,leave it online with ads but without updating, and start a new one..

    submit your tutorials to sites like good-tutorials.com so you get traffic to your site.

    Writing lots of articles about photoshop, how to's and explaining the benefits of it etc (and have the reader thinking they *must* visit your site for more) and syndicating them around the web at article banks with 'photoshop tutorials' 'photoshop help' and such in the anchor text, body and title of them.

    As the weeks and months pass.. up the ranks you go, up goes the traffic and up goes your revenue.. and up goes another site by yourself on something else photoshop related, and the process begins again...... 'til you decide to quit your jaybe and convince your friends and family it *is* possible to earn a living from the Internet and a substancial one at that! He he.. well that's the AdSense dream, anyway.

    Good luck...!

    Sounds great - I'll definately be doing that - but just wondering where would u suggest i put these articles? Each on their own page, with links to the newest from a main page kind of thing? Or set it up like a blog?

    Thanks for all the advice everyone! Keep it comin!

    Blogs are so much easier to manage. It does it all for you. You just tinker with the layouts, the side columns, and the actual entries. Now that I'ved started two blog-sites of my own, frankly I want to punch myself in the face for ever doing a site that WASN'T based on blog software.

    yeah making new tutorials all the time to keep website fresh is a very difficult work. if users as posting their tutorials then it can be easy but to get users input you should have a nice website already exist.

    @theBassman
    these PS Tutorials are very good, I will link them in the next days in my German Photoshop Portal. (Pagerank 5)

    @cookie_c73:
    Yes Sites about Photoshop or PS Tutorials are a good Idea, not bad - BUT:
    I am the owner of the german Photoshop-Portal, I have Adsense on it since Mart 2005 and I know: for the Adsense for the words "Photoshop" a.o. Adsense income ist not so very good, middle range. Many Clicks for less Money. But I have other Sites. The best Site of mine with Adsense is my "Büroservice" Website (dont know how it called in english: Office-Service?). For 1 Click Adsense by Büroservice I must have 20 Clicks in my Photoshop Portal!!! And "Free eCards" is worster, bad Adsense income.
    But it is good/better to make a Website which you are interestet in, which is your hobby, it is easyer to fill content.
    (ooh sorry bad english):)
