Is there a template guideline that needs to be followed when making a template for: PHPLD eSyndicat Site-sift PHPLB Im trying to create some new templates for public use but i need to know if there are some guidelines when making these templates. I assume that the layout and design is pretty standard, but when slicing the design, are there coding parameters i need to look out for? thanks again and once these questions are answered ill be happy to share the new templates with everyone. Thanks
everyone desperately needs and asks for a tutorial, i still can't get around to create one for phpld... that has been on my list for a long time now. Someday I might just drop everything and create one
Check below given threads. May be it'll help you http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=320920 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=320875
Yeah it is on my to do list long time ago. Vinny, you will have to check template files your self. Try to install script you are making templates for and use "web developer" extension for firefox. Use "outline>current element" and read code in bottom bar-than locate it in template files. You will have to do it yourself. Maybe you should start with php link bid and see how it goes.
If anyone wants to take the trouble to write up a ***decent*** tutorial for creating a template in any of these scripts, please contact me. I'm willing to pay generously for exclusive rights to publish the tutorial on the Aviva Blog + you'd get full credit and a link to your site.
Thanks delexudon for pointing to my small phpld template coding tutorial, it explains the basic element, all that is required is coping it to your html template file at right locations which one can learn only with experience, to be frank its more a self learning thing. But feel free to check out how main page is coded other pages is similarly taking the right codes out and placing in respective files. PHPLD coding Tutorial Available
likewise, if someone is willing to write a comprehensive tutorial on PHPLD template coding im willing to pay for exclusive rights to it as well. Thanks and if youre interested please send me a pm.
guess what, i am going to write it, and no body will have exclusive rights to it except me i am so greedy
im sure there are still people out there who will write it... but the more the merrier. so until aspidov writes one... the offer is still on the table...
Please explain comprehensive. Do you mean also teach html , slicing and css alone with codes required by phpld ?
Alright!!!! Now we're going to have a competition on templates Do you have any idea how many templates will be created?
I have read two phpLD tutorials, both are half-done or incomplete. Leaves my ars hanging. I can't read,so have lots of pictures I attempted to look into the codes..once and dropped it, the only times that I look at it now is when I need to, like the other day when we were inform that there was a hidden url codes.
lol, just curious on what you know before trying to read one of those two tutorials? also may I ask which tutorials you are talking about. If I planned on writing one, it'll require the intended audience to know HTML well and a little CSS...however, I'm just not sure if I can write it better then paid's version. It seems like any version put out there will not be good enough for those who don't have the basic skill sets required to build nice ones.
We have competition on templates started a long time ago, check templates section, its filled with templates
I started this thread on many forums, but never got a good response. Will be waiting for a step-by-step tutorial from psd to slicing to coding for phpld. You did a good start but the tutorial is not well written.. Looks messy and written in hurry. Look some of the php tutorial sites - There is a Style of writing a tutorial... I want to learn coding only for coding template for my directories.
I am starting to code one phpld design for client today and I will take notes on every step. I might have it in a week, but it will be coding from html&css to phpld. You can find lot of css coding tutorials on the web. Will let you know ones I have it.
