making a new site

HI ,

i would like to make a new website but I'm not sure if it will be productive enough because I'll be using all my past college experience in it any ideas on how to make it interesting ???

 

I think the intersesting part should come next to driving traffic. Because you should first need to have website traffic before you can think of retaining those visitors. Making it interesting can make visitors loyal but in the first place they need to be driven to your site. For this I think ranking will be the solution. Make your site rank for some keywords and you will have visitors that keep on coming.

 

love the site rank idea but how do i start of my marketing , i was thinking to start a facebook fan page but i highly think thats enough ??

 

I think You should make your site top in google

 

try to come up with some unique idea or just make any site that it will be not a burden for you to maintain. That's why many people prefer blog sites over anything else.

 

i actually i thought about the blog site and i think its a great idea , i was thinking maybe i could go for a pretty easy going design to interest people then afterwards change it into something i want to really do , do you think i should change or just leave it the way it is ??

I would suggest to make it on wordpress, it is very easy and you don't have to spend much, you just need a domain name and hosting service for design wordpress is awesome, there are thousands of templates and it is SEO friendly.

 

Choose an interesting niche and blog about it.

 

i started on my site actually and i started it with wordpress it is easy .... about the niche i'm working on an idea now also on the blog design

 

search your domain for nice niche for your site first. but register first for webmastertools. for SE detect your blog.

 

i have to register first correct ??? , i usually do that after i design or do i have do it first ............

 

article writing and social media is a good. be creative!

 

i use social media like facebook and twitter ... i also use StumbleUpon do you think there good enough or do you have better suggestions ???

Facebook is one of the top 3 traffic generation method that I use.
Fan Pages are popular today.
However Tribe pages is where it’s at!

ya man .... i have been working on facebook for a while now .... twitter is trying to catch the money maker like facebook which is beneficial for us .... check it out

 

You can use hootsuite to manage a number of different social networks. Keep track of them and post each day adding friends each day as well for social traffic.

Employ a Facebook Fan Page strategy like the one at http://networkquakeblueprint.com/

Then get article marketing, Press releases, PDF submissions going for backlinks and video as well.

This sounds like alot but if you plan it out in will only take a few hours each day, also most of it is outsourcable when the time comes.

Whatever you do the key is to stay consistent.

 

you can choose gadget theme on your site....teens loves gadget... so basically you just need the website that displays new info about new gadget and let the users give some rating...
