Hi friends, I am creating a new site. I am going to buy a "pre owned domain" listed in google. ---------------------------------------------------------- Why i am going to buy a "pre owned domain" because of the "sandbox" effect. If I purchased a domain that registered and listed before Jan 2004 then i dont have to wait for 4 to 12 months to come out from the google sandbox. What you think is this correct?? please advice me on this part jalika
The general thinking is that the links are what are sandboxed, not the website. Unless the website has lots of incoming links already then I dont think it helps a great deal.
If you build lots of links within a short time, these new links will be sandboxed, but the original ranking should not affected much.
oh i c, i though, website sandboxed, so there is no use of using the pre owned domains, also this pre owned domain have only 2 links, but the problem is the links will be sandboxed, so that no use of the pre owned domain. thankyou for your help
Jalika, it depends on where these 2 links are from, if they are high quality websites then they will help you get indexed, if they aint because pre owned domains tend not to be then it is probably not helping.
Its always good to buy a old domain than a new one. Age of a domain is an important factor in SEO. You should buy an old domain with good page rank and good number of backlinks.
