I've had my single web site for a year now and am currently making around $900 a month online. It's a business, so I have no problem building slow and steady. My ultimate goal is to sustain myself and buy a nice home at the Oregon Coast to retire from the rat-race.

No matter what you're doing: watching TV, taking a walk, going bowling, talking to friend....always consider, "how can any of this help my business?"

Keep the quality content flowing like water. Good content that your visitors can love on will build your empire. Content, Traffic, Pre-sell, Monetize. If you keep that order, you will have no problems at all.

Good luck and above all, have a great time!

    I'm fresh off the boat.

Many have been doing this for a long time and I find it very interesting. I got my website up within the last week and now I believe I have a long road ahead of me.

If I can make $2k - $3k a month, I think that should be ok for now.

Yeah, if you enjoy work like this you can make some income without sweat, and big income with some sweat :D, nah i'm just messin' with you :p Thats for sure that if you will work doest mater where (internet, or digging holes for coffins :D ) you can earn money, you will ask "how much?" How much is the mater of you, and for most of the times the patience is very good thing helping you to do the job well. So for ex: if job like developing or creating websites is to much dull for you, so it's very possible that you will not get big success. I'm not saying that if you don't like, you shouldn't work job like this, nah not really, you can make your self love it (the job) and make yourself work till sweat, and again, as I said, "work+sweat=money".

    And now the important think..
If you love job like this, you can hope for a big success and bigger income! ;)

So keep up the work and keep earnin' money!!

I live off my websites. The best advise I can give is to build and promote them like your life depended on it. There is nothing impossible if you are both determined and motivated.

    I wish you the best!

    i think its possible
but sometimes come to think about it
a minimum wage job of $8/hr might be more worthwhile...

My plan is to not need a job by the end of the year. I don't plan to quit my job...but just want to have that feeling of not needing it. I have a sh*3 load of work to do to hit that goal. But I think its possible.

Having a day job has little to do with your website's potential. I use to work 40 hours a week at Office Max while making more than 2x the amount through my websites.

You can still work a job and your websites. But my main point is that don't take any advice from anybody that hasn't experienced what you're wanting. You wouldn't take advice from a marriage counselor that has never been married, right?

Want to make a living off a website? You'll have to have fun and love what you're doing in order for it to be successful. Also a good key to staying HAPPY :)!!!

I have seen a lot of people with your caliber earning from $2,000 to 4,000 a month in our network. I think if your traffic is as good as you claim they you are in a right track!

You better hope the internet doesn't go out of business then.

I started a forum for free & a yahoo group 2 or 3 years back & forget about it. Than 1day I was is need of rapidshare account to download stuffs & I put my mind in that forum again. I was well known & I know how to get traffic in my interest. So, finally I got rapidshare accout. For more rapidshare accounts I need to keep my forum up to date & regular updating. Well I did that too.

1 day I thought of earning money. I started something like subscription plan in my forum, after few days I found someone transferred money in my paypal. I was just shocked.

I worked more & made my site exclusive. It worked well & in last 2 months I earned around 550 US$ in my paypal & somewhere around 250 $ in my other affiliates account related to my site. Now I planning to earn lot more with my own sites, forums. Will soon make will soon that happen, If you wanna join me come here:

I wish you could could consider the fact that YAHOO, AMAZON, CLICKBANK, MSN, are top companies, not individuals making almost all their money online. Out of these proceeds, they are able to pay staff, maintain offices and develop new products. You can make as much as you would in an office and maybe more. The only requirement is to learn more, practice more and enjoy what you do more.

There is no such thing as `the internet´ as 1 ....so it can not go bankrupt. f it would you imply that the whole world has gone bankrupt.

Great book to read is ´the Long Tail´ from Chris Anderson. The marketplace as we knew is gone and with the internet there is a mass of oppurtunities as there is a mass of demand. No matter how small your niche you can find customers for it.

Take a look at what you like what your hobbies are and what you know...I am sure you can make that knowledge into money online.
I have my own company for 3 1/2 years now and everything goes over the internet and the first half year I worked 40 hours a week a normal job, then began parttime at 24 hours and after one year closed the door at that place for the last time. My girlfriend followed the same route a year later and now we work out of our office beneath our home and loving it.

Like they said ... if you study here you do not need 3 years ...
Wishing you all the luck and persistence you need
