making a living off proxies..bad idea?

i have a few proxies that bring in my adsense income, its not enought to live off of or anything but im really interested in pushing it farther mabe up to 20-100 proxies at some time. Is this a bad way make money? i know in the end im still in profit even from all the bandwith costs and what not but there are lots of people getting banned for having proxies and i want to know if its looked down on from google if you have like 20+ proxies? or why are these people getting banned? I dont want 100 proxies setup just to get banned when i get my first check.

I would do that , if you can market them properly and get hits , try look for private advertisers.

 

It's not a bad idea altogether. The thing is, you shouldn't rely 100% on adsense. If your account gets banned for some reason, you're screwed.

 

Bad idea. They arent reliable in the long run and the summer is coming up so you will get hardly any visitors.

 

Not very wise, hard to achieve a sustainable living from a proxy network,
but if you have other stuff you can fall back on, then i guess its not as risky.

 

well i wouldnt mind making like 500$ a month from proxies just to put back into my other sites.
