Hi all, I am after a bit of advice, I have a content managed site, and when setting up an affiliate i was told that the only way to do this was from the back end in the code.

After speaking with a few people they have said if i took the http section of the affilate link then set this to my hyperlink i could have this attached to a picture / words etc and still make it work.

Is there any advice or examples i can read up to confirm one way or the other ? will some affilates work like this and not others ?

    Any help would be great
    Thanks

To assign a affiliate in dreamweaver (im assuming its quite similar in other applications) all you have to do is right click the image and click "make link" and just put you affiliate link in the url field.

For text, just highlight the text and click make link and do the same, there is no need to change the affiliate link, by doing so you may not actually refer your visitors.
