I want to make a gradient image to use for a header back ground image. The only installed software I have for my use is MS Image composer (1.5). Most things I can figure out wihtout to much trouble. I am having a really hard time with this. Do you just make ovelapping colors with blurred edges. Several overlays and then save the file? Love to hear from you.
Most image editing programs have a tool with which you make gradients. You choose your two colors, and decide if you want linear gradient, rectangular gradient, circular gradient and fill image. I do not have the program you mentioned.
Colbyt, you make gradients with the gradient tool, where you choose the colors you want to use and the program automatically makes the transition between those colors. You should download The Gimp, it is a very good graphic editing software and it is free.
My old computer died. I was away from home without all my software with me. One program I was missing was Ulead PhotoImpact 7. I was able to buy through Ebay for 99 cents. It is well worth it even with shipping charges. It will make a gradient background as do most decent image editing programs. Shannon
Colbyt, I usually using gradient background image in html format. All you need to use gradient tool and use eye dropper in the end bottom, pick that colour for html background colour. No blend or blurry from what you asked in your first post. Hope this helps
This post is the one that helped me figure it all out. The program I am using, Image Composer comes with about 10 pre-configured schemes which seems to cover most of the above mentioned ones. Of course none of those are colors anyone would want to use. Due to the poor documentation in the help files I had not figured out that I could change the colors by clicking on the the 2-4 littles boxes. Now if I just had an eye for color I would be all set. Thanks for your post.
