Google won't penalize u for too many backlinks esp if it come from relevant websites.But, make sure it is not so so spammy like.

 

Yes of course, but like i said im not really trying to build links, it just kind of comes as i go on with my websites. But i have never been penalized by google on any of my sites, i started my first real website about 3 years ago (like with a domain). im 19 now and i learn new things every day

So the link building, atleast for me, will help you more and be safer if you just post your link as you go, it think it gets you more targeted links than just going to every single blog you can find, or directory which fits your niche and submitting your link,

I guess its like building a solid base for your website, there is no point in rushing the construction and paying for it later on when it starts crumbling

but i am no expert at this, these are just my thoughts, im sure others here on dp know a lot more about this.

 

i had some good advices from this forums.

but i too felt this while reading. a lot are writng for the sake of getting points, number of posts,backlinks via signatures.

 

make sure they come from quality sites.

 

Few months ago i linked from one of my sites that has 200,000 indexed pages.
To another similar website i have (different c class) with great results.

 

it's safe, there are people who add like 100 backlinks / day...

any ways just keep on building links as google and other search engines doesnt crawl at a time ..

It's all dependent on the age of your site. New sites that build links fast are viewed as spam by search engines. Also if you're going to spam a lot of squiddo/hubpage links to it, you'll be sandboxed.

As long as your site is indexed, and has been around Google enough, the number is perfectly fine. It's actually a bit low.

 

The real question is not hoe may backlinks u got everyday, but how well these backliks are. SO, the quality is what matters.

 

This one make sense. If your site are mature enough, then 50 backliks is rahter normal, but if that isn't the case, too may backlinks one day may make SE suspicious.

Google will not penalise you for too many links unless you do something absolutely crazy. Ive known webmasters to get 1000's of links picked up in a week using Xrummer and who got awesome rankings. You just gotta be smart how you do it.

1 to 2 a week or even people who say just 25-50 a week are idiots.... You would never be able to rank for anything too competitive if we followed those guidelines.

 

Max 50 and Min 10 links are enough to get but also from relevant websites and you have to focus on quality website rather then formal websites. Good Luck

 

google indexes pdf ebooks and specific pages on sites such as scribd

the links on there are also indexed but not shown n yahoo site explorer that doesnt mean they are not counted as backlinks they are in fact very much backlinks indeed..just not used by the majority of people for seo


and about link building what is and isnt safe depends on many factors not just age of domain or site
but a important factor is link velocity or the speed at which you have been aquiring links in the past history of that site and the sources of those links

why do you think a new site can go viral on digg.com and gain hundreds of backlinks in a day without being penalized... its all about source relavence timing and naturality

the type of link also matters a lot is it in-content links? or submission type? blog roll - footer links? using to much of one type makes you seen as gaming the search engines besides the fact of the necessity of anchor diversity and so many more factors..

I make a full time living at it, and I've experimented with many different link building techniques

I can say with 100% certainty that building links "too quickly" is a MYTH and it will never hurt you in the serps, However it doesn't necessarily help you either
