i had a little dabble in ppc with the wii site in siggy, i did a tester of around £15/day for a few days to see how if it would convert, i was paying around 0.12p/click and getting about 25-30% CTR which was all amazing!!!

shame it just didnt convert enough into sales!! like literally wasnt converting hardly anything at all.

 

Yea I dont think PPc is the best for this type of site especially adwords your costs will be much higher... It also depends I dont know what products you listed but you could list cheaper products under $15 etc than much higher priced products

 

I'd be happy to test that out for you. I can give it a couple hundred a day.

Just wonder if the domain is very important when you build a site like this? Your domain consoledeal.com cant genereate very much traffic thanks to the domain right? Hard to rank for console and cant see very many googling for "console deal". Just pick a domain that have something to do with niche and you build the keywords under it?

I'd appreciate feedback and some suggestions to improve it.

Wonder also if there any methods to build content and depth for the search engines and sitemap.
With RSS feeds, the content is linking to the original source, so nothing really resides on the server.
Maybe a cron job to pull the other rss feeds, and some sort of article cache?

All things considered, this took more time fine tuning and making it look acceptable, than the actual content. That was pretty well a snap.
